Private view of our latest exhibition is happening tonight at 7-10pm! Dog Fight Art Collective: A group of artists exploring the themes of identity, relationships, queerness and the macarbe, with works extending from paintings, sculptures, photography to digital art.
The Queery is a wheelchair accessible venue with one bathroom, which has grab rails and an emergency pull cord.

The Queery is developing a youth project to expand

The Queery is developing a youth project to expand services to 16-18 year-olds in 2024. LGBTQIA+ services in the area are lacking and we have the resources and space to make some really good things happen for our young queer community. YOU BELONG HERE costs about £42k a year to run, so have a look at the link in bio and pledge what you can. The crowdfunder runs until christmas day, a really difficult day for lots of young LGBTQ+ people whose families often don't love them as much as they should ❤️

Hello everyone!
As we hope you already know, The Queery is a co-op, which means we are run for and by a collective of the community it serves. It is fully volunteer run, so any money that comes in goes towards keeping the events space, the café and the bookshop open. Anything above that goes back into improving our space and back into our community.
We have been struggling since we have been open to pay our bills and rent, and this month is no different. We still need £800 towards rent which is due by the end of the month. More than ever we need ask for your help.
So how can you support us?
- Come into the space!
- Buy a coffee, buy a book!
- Get a Gift Card for a friend!
- Check out our Events Calendar, and come to events!
- Coming to fundraising events for The Queery or for other causes!
- Become a co-op member! You can do this through our website. Pay as little as £1 as a one off or monthly.
- Donate donate donate! You can do this via Ko-Fi or PayPal!
- Share our posts! Let people know about the Queery, let them know what we can do and how essential we can be for our community.

We'll be showing 'But I'm a Cheerleader' a 1999 American satirical teen romantic comedy film directed by Jamie Babbit. Natasha Lyonne stars as Megan Bloomfield, a high school cheerleader whose parents send her to a residential in-patient conversion therapy camp to "cure" her lesbianism. At camp, Megan realizes that she is indeed a lesbian and, despite the "therapy", comes to embrace her sexuality. The supporting cast includes Clea DuVall, RuPaul, and Cathy Moriarty.
It should be a blast! Come along and join us for a fun movie night!
