Claywild Pottery Workshop

13 June @ 18:30 - 21:30

Tickets: https://www.outsavvy.com/event/17529/queer-pottery-classes-with-clay-wild-at-the-queery

Megan Elliott (she/her), founder of Clay Wild, for a relaxing queer pottery workshop at The Queery, Brighton! The class will be focusing on traditional hand-building techniques using minimal tools and is suitable for all levels.

This month, the theme is body pots

At the end of the class, you will receive tips on how to decorate at home when dry. We will be working with air-drying clay, so please note the products will not be food or drink safe. However, it can be waterproofed to hold plants.

No experience necessary – suitable for all levels! This is a class prioritising queer joy and creativity!

Your clay will still be delicate upon completion, so boxes/bags will be provided to take your clay home in. You can also bring your own box if you wish to help save materials – a tub or a small box (approx shoe box size) is ideal.

COVID SAFETY:

Do not attend in person if you have any viral or cold symptoms i.e. frequent coughing or sneezing.

Please wear a mask if you are able to, sanitise your hands regularly, and take a lateral flow test beforehand to protect clinically vulnerable members of our community. Masks, tests and hand sanitiser are available for free at The Queery, if you can’t find any please ask a volunteer.

Thank you for doing your part to protect our community!
