Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism! presents: Inside the NPA

28 August @ 19:30 - 21:30

The first gay and trans marriages in the Philippines were hosted by the New People’s Army (NPA) – the armed wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines – for their armed queer fighters. The Philippines is home to the world’s oldest ongoing communist insurgency and The NPA is marking its 56th year of armed combat against the US sponsored armed forces of the Filipino state, with no intention of surrender or defeat.
This documentary shows how the armed struggle in the countryside and democratic struggle in the cities continues to transform life for the Filipino people.
